Working out can improve your health, strength and mental state—and according to these dads, it can take your parenting skills to the next level. Below, see how these eight Peloton Dads say Peloton helps make them better parents.

Jesse B. (#EveryDamnDay805)

“Aside from providing me more patience and energy, I love that working out through Peloton makes me feel like a superhero to my kids. At first, I think it caught them off guard to see their old Dad sweating and grunting while they watched Mr. Rogers on TV. Now, I see them wanting to imitate me when they are active and see me more like the athlete I was in college. I love that someday they will tell their kids they grew up watching their Dad work out every day. My hope is that it will be the new standard for our family for generations to come.”

“I need to make good choices daily to be the awesome dad my kiddos deserve. One choice is to get on the Peloton Bike, to be physically and mentally strong. As a single dad, when the kids are with their mom, I send them a #sweatyselfie to let them know that dad’s flexing. And surprisingly wonderful, my daughter and I have bonded through Peloton as she enjoys the stretching classes.”

“Peloton makes me a better dad because it helps me set a good example for my daughter. When she wakes up in the morning, I’m usually either on the Bike or sweaty from just finishing a workout. This models for her that it’s important to make fitness a priority and that it can be fun! Plus, the convenience and efficiency of the workouts maximize the time I can be at home spending quality time with the family.”

“Being the dad and coach of two teenage sons who both want to be the best at their sport, I could not demand more out of them if I wasn’t putting in the extra work to stay in shape myself. Being a former athlete, I have always tried to stay in shape, but due to injuries in my playing days I could not run and lift like I used to. That changed when I got a Peloton Bike. Now, my boys are used to me coming home from school and practice and getting a ride or a stretch in. My older son, who is off to start college football next year, has found the yoga and stretching classes to be extremely helpful in keeping his body in great shape. Peloton allows me to have discussions about healthy living often in our household.”

“Peloton makes me a better father because it helps me teach our daughters how to find their own strength and understand how to persevere. As a father with four young daughters, it's critical to ensure that we have ways to bond and connect; however, we don't always share the same taste in activities. We talk about finding the strength to keep pushing through, even if it's uncomfortable, or completing every step even when tired. As a result, we're all stronger both independently and together.”

“First and foremost, Peloton helps me clear my head in an amazingly efficient manner. The instructors and the Bike are great ways to gain perspective and get some knots out of my rope. After a Peloton workout, I feel there is nothing that I cannot handle since I have more patience, tolerance and am generally more pleasant to be around. After a class with Christine, I feel like I can run through a wall. So much physical and mental strength can be gained from a class with her. The bottom line is that Peloton makes me a better father and husband and contributes to the overall happiness of my family.”

Michael S. (#SmittyTheGreat)

“Riding with the Peloton community has given me the opportunity to challenge myself to grow stronger physically and mentally with the support of riders around the world. I am a more supportive, patient and loving father to my two sons (age 4 and 19 months). They see me sweat, think Alex Toussaint is my best friend, make me adorable milestone signs and always make sure I have water! I support my boys, and they support papa!”

Craig H. (#CaliCraig)

“Peloton makes me a better father because I can take some time for myself to exercise and stay healthy while I give my kids an example of the importance of staying healthy. I love that I can get onto cycling classes with Alex T. or yoga classes with Kristin M. and get and receive high fives from everyone and talk to my kids about it. They think I work out all the time, but I like that they see how much I enjoy it. If I can get even one of them engaged in working out, I’ll be happy. I have at least one on the road to it, even if their motivation is more around getting a Century shirt. I’ll take it.”
